SiteTest Agent is a client part of the application that, when installed on a local computer, performs two major tasks:
Provides communication between the SiteTest application server and a local computer for test case execution;
Provides mechanism for creation and management of Application GUI Model.
SiteTest Agent incorporates two applications: Model Editor and GUI Object Spy. The Model Editor provides functionalities for creation and management of Application GUI Model, while the GUI Object Spy is responsible for capturing GUI objects of your application under test into the Application GUI Model.
Application GUI Model is an organized collection of GUI objects and properties of an application under test. It must be created and uploaded to SiteTest application server before starting the actual test case development because SiteTest uses objects from the Application GUI Model for creating test case steps.
Each GUI object in the Application GUI Model is defined by a set of properties that GUI Object Spy recognizes during the object capturing process and transfers them to the Application GUI Model.
