How to Create a New Contact?
To create a new contact, take the following procedures.
- Click either the Contacts link, and the Add Contact button, or the Create button, and choose the Contact option in the left navigation pane. The Add New Contact form appears in a new window.
- Fill up the following field in the form.
First Name: Enter the first name of the contact.
Last Name: Enter the last name of the contact
Email: Enter the email address of the contact.
(Note: This email will be used for both logging into to the monitoring services, and receiving the service alerts and warnings).
Time Zone: Choose the contact time zone from the drop down menu.
Role: Choose the roles – administrator, user, or guest – which are classified according to the authority/privileges.
Password: Choose a strong password for a reliable security purpose.
Retype Password: Re-enter password to make sure that you typed your password correctly.
Phone Country Code: Choose the phone code of the country the contact is located in. This is an optional parameter, and is applicable only, if you are interested to insert the phone number in the following field.
Mobile Phone: Enter the mobile number of the contact. It is an optional parameter, and is used for receiving SMS related to alerts and warnings.
- Click Save button once done with the filling up of all fields. The new contact will be added in the existing list of contacts.
